it's the empress shield sticker; this may be changed later due to
(un)recognizability. it's also a png instead of an ico, since it
seems widely supported.
bluefin_stickers_(warm/blue) is used for the light/dark themes, with
an inset shadow around the corners of the background. this also gets
rid of the text background on the footer.
